High Performance forged pistons.
Performance Engines’ line of high performance forged pistons covers the most popular aviation engine applications. Their dimensional tolerance is 0.0001” and are manufactured with aerospace grade 2618T-61 aluminum. This makes them approximately 40% stronger and more dense than OEM Cast pistons. We offer our pistons with the option of Ceramic Coated Tops and P2 Moly skirts. Click here to view our full line of High Performance Forged Pistons.

High Performances Cams
If you change the engines compression ratio without changing the cam lobe profile you won’t increase the engines horsepower and torque to its fullest potential. At Performance Engines we start with a stock OEM Certified Cam a re-grind the lobe profile to exacting tolerances. Essentially we change the lift, duration and overlap to optimize the torque and horsepower for the specific RPM and application.
Our proprietary lobe design was engineered to extract the most performance out of an aircraft engine, while maintaining the highest level of reliability. Once the camshaft has made its conversion to a high performance camshaft we dynamically balance it to a maximum tolerance of 1 gram.

High Performance Valves
Performance Engines Super Alloy-Nickel based valves are manufactured using One Piece Forgings and represent the latest cutting edge technology and the highest quality on today’s market. Each two step forged piece is machined, triple heat treated, stress relieved, ground, coated and then finally rolled. Once these steps are complete each and every valve is ultrasonically tested and x-rayed.
We sell standard size, oversized and custom sizes. All valves are swirl polished for added flow. Also available with longer valve stems.

High Performance Valve Springs
Performance Engines valve springs are precision manufactured using only premium grade chrome silicone steel. These valve springs are designed to control dominant harmonics, provide drivetrain stability and therefore, reduce valvetrain wear and increase reliability.
Our high performance valve springs are stronger than the OEM Stock variety and offer a increased tension. This increase in tension places more pressure on the valve to the seat and ensures a better seal. Most importantly this higher pressure helps eliminate the possibility of valve floating, ensuring that the valvetrain remains true to the camshaft lobe profile.

Titanium Connecting Rods
Titanium connecting rods are perfect for those customers who want the weight of an aluminum rod with the strength of a steel rod. In fact (Grade 5 titanium) (6AL4V Titanium) is approximately the same strength of steel, but weigh about half as much. By decreasing the rotating and reciprocating weight, the engine has a reduced inertial inertia load which not only results in a more harmonically stable and powerful engine, but also increases its longevity.

Titanium Roller Rocker Arms
It is a well know fact in the Nascar circuit that Roller Rocker Arms are the easiest way to quickly increase your engine’s horsepower, torque and RPM. You can expect to see an approximate increase of 5% in horsepower.
Due to high friction and resulting heat, one of the highest wear areas in an aircraft engine is located at the valve stem and valve guide. Roller Rocker Arms greatly reduce the sideloading of the valve stem against the valve guide, resulting in higher TBOs.
Roller Rocker Arms by Performance Engines use double roller needle bearing fulcrum which reduce friction, improves valve tip tracking accuracy, helps lower oil temperatures, while increasing reliability and engine longevity.
If you are looking for the cutting edge. You just found it!
